7 - Marisol
Hola! I’m Marisol! I’m three-years-old and I come from Valencia, Spain, which is on the east coast and is the third-largest city in the country. Valencia is known as the “bright city” because it’s a really lively place, with lots of sport, beach fun, and activities that go until late at night – maybe that’s why I am always happy and in a good mood! Nearby Valencia is one of the funnest and messiest festivals in Spain – La Tomatina, the world’s largest tomato fight!
I was born in the middle of the night on October 23rd, which is one day after my older brother, so October is a big birthday month in my house! Sundays are my favorite day of the week because we have “los panqueques” – that means “pancakes” – for breakfast and then we have paella, a yummy rice dish, for dinner. Valencia is where the famous paella comes from!
I have a big family - four brothers! One is five, one is six, one is nine and my baby brother is one. We would love to get a dog my parents say we have too many people in the house already. I share a bedroom with my baby brother, and my favorite time of the day is bedtime because that’s when my Mom and Dad give me a back rub, which I love!
My favorite saying is: “Be kind to everyone, especially those in need. You may need help one day too!”
