3 – Adelasia
Ciao! I’m Adelasia! I’m two-years-old and I come from Rome, Italy, the capital of Italy and the country’s biggest city. Rome is one of the oldest cities in Europe – more than 2,500 years old! – and is the most popular place to visit in Italy. It is a really special place because it has some of the most famous monuments and fountains in the world, like the Colosseum, the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain, which is my favorite fountain. Luckily I live really close to the fountain so I get to see it all the time!
I was born late at night on Mar. 29th, which is my Daddy’s birthday! He raced my Mommy to the hospital on his “motorino” – that means “scooter” – just in time! And he says I was the best present ever! My parents named me after my Mommy’s great, great, great-grandmother, so I have a really old name to match my really old city! Most of the time they call me “Asia.” And I love that I wear red because I love strawberries!
I don’t have any sisters or brothers yet, but I do have a big black and white dog! His name is Raffi, he’s a husky and he’s five-years-old. He loves to swim and dig in the sand. The only animal I love more than Raffi are elephants because they’re really caring, just like me. I hope I get to see a real elephant some day. I am so thankful that I have such a loving family and live in such a beautiful, historic city.
